I have always liked the Squidoo model where you receive revenue from the ads that are shown. When I say “you” I mean the writer of what is called the lens. Each lens is a page about any topic you may like. Think of it as a 1 page website where you can add all sorts of modules. As the editor of the lens you earn revenue from the advertisements and you can choose to have them pay you or give your earnings to charity. I choose to give mine to charity and as of the end of June 2012 the total is almost $1,000.
Giving Earnings to Charity – Almost $1,000
As of the end of June 2012 my Squidoo earnings statement shows that my earnings were just under $1,000 and all of that has gone to charity. If you have topics you are passionate about I suggest you consider Squidoo as a platform. You can choose to give all your earnings to charity and while I thought it would never amount to much I am surprised to see just under $1,000 earned so far from the lifetime of a couple lenses I created.
In this graph the blue line represents the earnings I chose to receive and the red line are the earnings I chose to give to charity.
Incentives Always Help
I am a strong believer in incentives. Cash is a great incentive but also is the incentive to help others. Now I am motivated to create more lenses and many others probably are too. The reports that Squidoo provides are excellent and keep you motivated. Take a look at Squidoo and consider making your own Squidoo lens about any topic you may be interested in. Particularly if you can help others by doing what you love.
